Kindred Spirits
BBC1 - Christmas Special
Kindred Spirits are a group of over 20 children who love to sing.
They are the brainchild of Nadia Raibin of Production Team who auditioned choir members from the NLCC and then put together a children's choir, all aged between 6 and 14. The children represent 21st century Britain and are normal children that you would expect to find at any school in the country.
The CD was recorded over the summer in London and released in December 2007 by EMI Classics. The CD is a mixture of pop and classical tracks, including 'Fix You', 'Here comes the Sun', 'One Love' and classical tracks such as 'The Ashgrove' and 'O Waly Waly' as well as some seasonal Christmas Carols, 'In the Bleak Midwinter' and 'Shepherd's Pipe Carol'.
Kindred Spirits were incredibly lucky to have the support of NLCC and EMI Classics and performed on 'Strictly Come Dancing' on Christmas Day with a TV audience of 9.9 million viewers. They also sang on live TV as guests on 'The Andrew Marr Show' for BBC1 and on ITV's 'This Morning'.
They have had several radio and TV interviews. Kindred Spirit's debut performance was at 'The Horse of the Year Show' in October 2007, and they quickly got booked to turn on the Christmas Lights in South Molton Street with Myleene Klass.
Other performances included a VIP day in Regent Street with Ken Livingstone and performing several tracks from their debut CD at the Boat Show. Some of the group represented Kindred Spirits at The Chancellor's Christmas Party in Downing Street in December.
Kindred Spirit's 'Fix You' video was named video of the Month for November by Classic FM. They are nominated for Album on the Year on
