Rehearses on Sunday afternoons after Senior Choir rehearsal.

A small SATB chamber choir, the Youth choir is an addition to the Senior Perfoming Choir offering boys whose voices have changed and teenage girls an opportunity to sing a more traditional repertoire of choral music.

The atmosphere is relaxed - the pace is challenging - the aim is for excellence.

A superb way to brush up on sight-reading skills, many members of Youth Choir have continued on to Oxbridge Choral Scholarships.

The choir gives regular concerts as well as taking part in the annual Christmas concert given by the entire choir membership.

Recent repertoire has included:

Faure’s Cantique de Jean RacinePurcell’s Dido & Aeneas - semi staged public performanceVaughan Williams’ Sea ShantiesMozart’s Mass in GGilbert & Sullivan’s Trial by Jury - semi-staged public performanceHandel’s MessiahFlanders & Horowitz Captain Noah and his floating zoo.Madrigals
